Ray Farmerโs History of Service / US Marine Corps

While serving with HMH 361 we trained in areas such as Yuma, Arizona executing desert training exercises. We also spent time in Fallon, Nevada for cold weather training. Training to maintain our aircraft in the United States meant we would be flight ready for any mission, domestic or international.

While serving in the Marine Corps from 1983 to 1989, I was meritoriously promoted to Corporal E-4 and Sargent E-5. I attended NCO bootcamp in El Toro, California to help develop leadership skills. Shortly afterwards I became a Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) then a Quality Assurance Representative (QAR). These two certifications enabled me to sign off on Hydraulic Techniciansโ work and sign off on aircraft for flight readiness. During my last 2 years of service, I was night shift supervisor of our hydraulic shop; statewide and abroad.
